Ellen Gates, CPed
Pedorthist
Ellen joined the P&O Care team in 2015.
Ellen’s clinical interests include diabetic neuropathy, leg length discrepancies and fracture management. She is passionate about foot education and teaches patients how shoes and orthotics work synergistically to create a healthy support system for the whole body, preventing health complications and pain.
Ellen was introduced to the field of pedorthics younger than most. As a child, Ellen began wearing orthopedic shoes to correct pigeon-toes, but tossed them upon entrance to high school. When she began suffering from debilitating plantar fasciitis pain at the age of 28, Ellen again tried orthopedic shoes as a last resort and found immediate relief. As a walking testimony, Ellen soon began her journey to become an expert pedorthist seeking to educate and help others reduce chronic foot pain.
